Kamalu Makekau-Whittaker

U14 LAVBC-Black is coached by LAVBC Director Kamalu Makekau-Whitaker.

Kamalu, set for the United States High Performance Team from ages 15-18 before signing to Cal State Northridge. There she worked under Olympic Gold Medalist, Coach Jeff Stork. In 5 short years Kamalu has won over 7 Gold Medals at the club level including Bronze (2X) at the Red Rock Rave National Qualifier and Gold at the Far Western National Qualifier.

U14 LAVBC-Black finished ranked #15 in all of Southern California in the 2024/25 season.
