Once booked Private Training sessions are non-refundable and make-up sessions for scheduled appointments that are missed by the athlete are not offered.

Coach Kamalu finished her Division 1 playing career in 2020 as the starting setter of Cal State Northridge. Coach Kamalu trained with the US National Team in 2014 and 2015 and played her club volleyball for US Olympian Coach Kevin Wong. In High School she was a 3x Champion on the ‘Big Island’ of Hawai’i. Coach Kaamlu is currently the Head Coach of Brentwood High School.

Coach Lisa Hom
Coach Lisa, was born and raised in Long Beach, California. She was a two-sport athlete playing volleyball and track all 4 years at Cerritos High School. In volleyball she was a defensive specialist/libero and in track she competed in hurdling, triple jump, long jump and the 400 meter. Lisa went on to play volleyball at Whittier College as a DS/Libero, where she earned a Bachelors of Arts in Biology. Lisa still plays co-ed beach and indoor volleyball.
Lisa began coaching volleyball her first year in college for Plus Volleyball Academy and for Club Green. While in graduate school in Indiana, Lisa coached for three years at Network VBC before she moved to coaching at Northern Indiana Volleyball Association.

Coach Joie Graves
Coach Joie played club volleyball in Michigan from a young age and continued playing in college at American University in their club program. She has coached with LAVBC since 2020 and has been an integral part of our club’s success. Her willingness to share her knowledge and passion for the game with all age groups has accelerated the growth curve players training with LAVBC. Joie is the Head Coach of LAVBC u14-Black.

Coach Sophia Lawrence
Coach Sophia, is an n and dedicated volleyball player and coach with a strong background in both indoor and beach volleyball. She played 5 season at Predators Volleyball Club in Ontario, Canada under the tutelage of Paul Pavan (father of AVP Professional Sarah Pavan). She won (2) Provincial Championships in Calgary and British Columbia.
Sophia came to the states to purse beach volleyball and currently plays for Santa Monica College Beach after (2) seasons with the indoor team. She currently coaches JV at Brentowood Highschool and counts here extensive knowledge of the game and her disciplined and goal-orientated approach to coaching as among her strongest asset

Coach Brandon Bostel
Coach Bostel is from Culver City, CA and is currently playing Division 1 Volleyball at the University of Charleston. Coach Bostel has been coaching with Los Angeles Volleyball Club for 3 years and returns to team and private training on his breaks. Coach Bostel is a an extremely skilled communicator with young players and has a wealth of growing knowledge about the game.

Executive Director Jason Olive
Coach Olive is a First Team All-American Middle-Blocker from the University of Hawai’i. As a 6-rotation middle-blocker he helped bring UH to a #2 National Ranking and to compete in the NCAA Final-Four for the program’s first time. While in college he was individually ranked in the top 10 in the nation in hitting, blocking and serving. He is ranked in the top 10 all-time in Hawai’i history in several categories. He played his club ball for Olympian Dan Geenbaum at Torrance Roof. In High School he was a part of his school’s first appearance in the Sate Finals and qualified for the Manhattan Beach Open as a HS senior. In 2024 Coach Olive won the Masters National Open Gold Medal wiht Balboa Bay.
